We produce a short animated movie using the following pipeline.
First, we create a storyboard and produce a pre-visualization of the movie using sketches. Next, we plan and execute a motion capture session, in which we act out the animations ourselves.
After processing the motion capture data, we rig several 3D characters in Blender. Next, we model the scene for the movie and add in the characters with their respective animations. We then composite the scene objects and create the several cameras for shooting. Finally, we render the scene.
We then edit the raw renderings, also adding video effects and sound, to produce the final movie.
This project was carried out using Blender and Sony Vegas.
