Production of a short animated movie made through motion capture technology.
We produced a short animated movie using the following pipeline.
First, we created a storyboard and produced a pre-visualization of the movie using sketches. Next, we planned and executed a motion capture sessions, in which we acted out the animations ourselves.
After processing the motion capture data, we rigged several 3D characters in Blender. Next, we modeled the scene for the movie and added in the characters with their respective animations. We then composited the scene and created the several cameras for shooting. Finally, we rendered the scene.
We then edited the raw renderings, also adding video effects and sound, to produce the final movie.
This project was carried out using Blender and Sony Vegas.
